A few months ago, Dhallywood actress Afiya Nusrat Barsha announced her decision to step away from acting. Now, her husband and Dhallywood star Ananta Jalil has hinted at taking the same step.
Ananta Jalil’s upcoming film, Netri The Leader, is reportedly 70% complete and is scheduled for release soon. However, he has indicated that he may leave the film industry after completing his remaining projects.
In a recent interview, Ananta Jalil said, “My sons are pursuing Islamic studies. It doesn’t look right for parents to be in films while they focus on religion.” He added that his elder son has completed 8 para hafiz, and his younger son has finished reciting the Quran for the second time. For their children, he and Barsha had long intended for them to pursue religious studies, including plans for education in Madina.
Commenting on his wife Barsha’s decision to quit acting, Ananta said, “Since our children are studying both Islamic and general education, they wouldn’t feel comfortable seeing their mother in films. I also don’t want them to focus on religion while I continue acting.” He confirmed that he will make a final decision after completing the projects in hand.
