Emiliano Martinez himself wanted to come to Bangladesh after his visit to Kolkata was confirmed, he informed the organizers of his interest in coming to Bangladesh. He was touched by the support of the common people of Bangladesh towards the Argentina team during the World Cup in Qatar. The news of the frenzy of thousands of people in front of the big screen in different cities of Bangladesh including Dhaka in every Argentina match also made headlines in the international media. Martinez wanted to see this country that’s why the Argentina’s World Cup winning goalkeeper arrived in Dhaka early today.
An organization called FundedNext brought the Argentine goalkeeper to Dhaka. He arrived in Bangladesh early Monday morning on a short visit for only 11 hours.
The Argentine World Cup winning footballer attended a ceremony in the morning where Mashrafe, also a lawmaker from the ruling party Awami League, was the invited guest. Mashrafe appeared on the occasion with daughter Humaira and son Sahel.
They saw Martinez up close and took a picture. They got an autograph of Maritnez on the white-blue jersey. Mashrafe was impressed to have Martinez close for a while. He could not imagine that the La Albiceleste goalkeeper would show such sincerity.
Emi Martinez took Instagram to share his feeligs of Bangladesh trip. In his Instagram post Martinez wrote, “I had such an extraordinary journey to Bangladesh engaged with NEXT Ventures and FundedNext. The people here, with their love, care, and unrivaled hospitality, have truly melted my heart. I eagerly anticipate my return to this beautiful country in the near future.”
