Dengue fever is continuing in the country. Six more people have died of mosquito-borne disease in the last 24 hours. The total number of dengue deaths has risen to 239 this year.
At the same time, nine thousand 942 people have been hospitalized with dengue.
This information was given in the regular report of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on dengue on Tuesday (September 29).
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), one dengue patient died in Dhaka North City Corporation, one in Dhaka South City Corporation, one in the area outside Dhaka City Corporation and three in the area outside the city corporation of Rajshahi division.
Meanwhile, the highest number of new cases have been admitted to hospitals outside the city corporation of Dhaka division. Besides, three people were admitted to Chittagong division, 264 to Khulna division, 229 to Dhaka South City Corporation, 178 to Dhaka North City Corporation, 179 to Rajshahi Division, 13 in Barisal Division, 213 in Mymensingh Division.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a total of 239 people died of dengue in the country from January 1 to September 29 this year. Of these, only 113 people, including two city corporations, have lost their lives in Dhaka division.
At the same time, 45 people died in Khulna division, 23 in Chittagong division, 20 in Mymensingh division, 18 in Barisal division, 14 in Rajshahi division, five in Rangpur division and one in Sylhet division.
The health sector is also growing concern about the dengue situation as new patients are admitted to hospitalizations and deaths every day in different parts of the country.
