Dengue fever is continuing in the country. Six more people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours. At the same time, more than a thousand 868 people have been admitted to different hospitals in the country after being infected with dengue.
This was revealed in the dashboard of the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday.
The death toll from dengue has risen to 201 this year with the death of six new people. This year, a total of 67 thousand people have been admitted to different hospitals in the country with dengue.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the highest number of hospitalized patients in the last 24 hours are from Dhaka division (outside the city corporation). After that, Chittagong division 317, Khulna division 280, Dhaka South City Corporation 179, Barisal Division 178, Dhaka North City Corporation 173, Rajshahi Division 156, Mymensingh Division 113, Mymensingh Division 113.
Two of the six people who died of dengue in the last 24 hours are from Dhaka South City Corporation and two are from Chittagong division. One person died in Barisal and Mymensingh divisions.
The health department is concerned about the dengue situation as new cases of new patients continue to be admitted and deaths continue. In addition to bringing the infected under treatment, the emphasis is on the destruction of mosquito breeding grounds and raising public awareness.
