The government has transferred 23 senior officers, including DIGs of Bangladesh Police, additional DIGs, superintendents of police (SPs) and other senior officers.
These changes and appointments were announced in four separate notifications issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday (August 12th).
In a notification, additional DIG of the highway police Farida Yasmin has been attached as an additional DIG at the Barisal Range DIG’s office. In the same notification, additional DIG of highway police Mir Mods Chher Hossain has been appointed as an additional DIG at Rajshahi Sarda BPA.
Besides, highway police superintendent (Superneury Additional DIG) Mohammad Shahinur Alam Khan has been transferred to Dhaka SB, highway police SP Rezaul Karim to APBN, PBI SP Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman to highway police, APBN SP Deepak Jyoti Khisa to highway police and additional DIG of RAB Saleh Uddin as additional DIG of highway police.
New SP in Gazipur and Kushtia
In another notification, Kushtia Superintendent of Police Mohammad Jasim Uddin has been transferred and appointed as the superintendent of police in Gazipur.
On the other hand, Gazipur SP Sharif Uddin has been transferred to the highway police, Sylhet Range DIG’s office SP Amirul Islam to Kushtia, Narayanganj SP Mohammad Mizanur Rahman Munshi to highway police, Khulna SP Mohammad Tajul Islam to APBN and SP of Police Staff College Omar Faruk to Khulna.
Besides, in two separate notifications, DIG, deputy police commissioner, superintendent of police and special superintendent of police have been transferred and appointed to different units of the police.
Through these notifications of the Ministry of Home Affairs, this reshuffle of responsibility in various important units of the police was simultaneously implemented.
