After assuming office as acting president, Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed will conduct official activities from Bangabhaban. He will remain in the official residence of the Speaker of the House.
The acting president himself confirmed this while talking to the media on Saturday (July 25th).
He said that all the official works necessary to carry out the constitutional duties of the President will be conducted from Bangabhaban. However, he will remain in the official residence of the Speaker as a private residence.
Security has been tightened at the Speaker’s official residence and surrounding areas. The law enforcement agencies have implemented special security protocols for the president since Friday (July 24th) afternoon.
Earlier, according to the health care, Mr. When Sahabuddin resigned, the speaker of the parliament, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, took over as acting president as per the provisions of the constitution.
