
The Postal Department’s mobile financial services ‘Nagad’ and the state-owned ‘Rupali Bank PLC’ have signed a historic agreement to make the hard-earned remittances of the country’s far-reaching remittances faster, safely and easily.
The agreement was signed at the head office of Rupali Bank in the capital’s Dilkusha on Tuesday. Bangladesh Bank appointed administrator Md. Motasim Billah and Rupali Bank’s managing director Kazi Md. Wahidul Islam.
Benefits of receiving 24-hour remittance
As a result of this agreement, expatriate Bangladeshis living abroad will be able to send remittances to Rupali Bank through the international exchange house, money transfer operator (MTO) or bank. And the cash will be delivered directly to the mobile wallets of the beneficiaries through Rupali Bank. As a result, beneficiaries from any part of the country will be able to receive and use remittances immediately for 24 hours a day and night.
Positive impact on the economy and cashless transactions
Recently, ‘Bangla QR’ Payment Service and National Payment Switch Bangladesh (NPSB) facility have been added to the cash. As a result, family members who have received remittances will be able to easily transfer it to any bank after receiving the money in the cash wallet. Besides, you can easily complete daily transactions like cashless payment, electricity, gas-water bill payment, purchase and payment of school-college fees with cash app to about 10 lakh Bangla QR merchants in the country.

As a result of this partnership with Rupali Bank, the beneficiaries will get remittances in cash wallets quickly and hassle-free. This will contribute to increasing the flow of remittances in the legitimate way and strengthening the country’s digital financial inclusion.”
Rupali Bank Managing Director Kazi Md. Wahidul Islam said:
“We have always been committed to providing safe access to the hard-earned money of the expatriates as a state-owned bank. The agreement with cash will make it easier to reach remittances in remote areas of the country and customers will get better service.”

Deputy managing directors Tahmina Akhtar, Hasan Tanvir and Md. Harunur Rashid, assistant manager Mohammad Shahedur Rahman, remittance division head AKM Zakir Hossain and other senior officials.
It is to be noted that cash has been regularly conducting various awareness and award-based campaigns to increase remittances in the country, including the recent opportunity to win gold rates for the families of the expatriates under the ‘Har Na Mana Haar’ campaign.
