Thirteen more children have died of measles and symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours. The death toll stood at 512.
Twelve of them were infected with measles and one died of measles.

According to the report of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), two thousand 132 children have been infected at the same time. So far, eight thousand 494 children have been diagnosed with measles. Sixty-two thousand children have also been admitted to the hospital with measles symptoms.
The highest number of infections and deaths in the country has been recorded in Dhaka Division. So far, 214 children have died from measles and symptoms, and 35 thousand 513 children have been infected.
Health experts say the shortage of vaccination programs, rapid infection and lack of awareness in densely populated areas are complicated. The risk is increasing due to the lack of immunity in children.
The Department of Health has urged parents to vaccinate their children immediately. At the same time, it has been advised to consult a doctor immediately if symptoms such as fever, rash, cough or redness in the eyes.
According to public health analysts, it is necessary to strengthen the mass vaccination programme on an emergency basis to control the situation, increase hospital preparations and raise health awareness at the local level.
