Panchagarh—Northern region organizer Sarjis Alam has submitted his nomination papers for Panchagarh-1 constituency to participate in the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections.
He submitted his nomination papers along with the necessary documents at the office of the concerned Returning Officer at the scheduled time of 4:30 pm on Sunday. Party leaders and activists and supporters were present with him at that time.
After submitting his nomination, Sarjis Alam told reporters that his goal is to participate in the election with the people’s verdict through a democratic process. If elected, he pledged to work for the development of the area and fulfill the people’s expectations.
Sources in the Returning Officer’s office said that after the scrutiny of nomination papers as per the Election Commission’s schedule, the list of valid candidates will be published. After that, the process of withdrawal of candidacy and allocation of symbols will be completed.
