Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali has said that the identities of all those involved in the murder of Inqilab Manch convener Shaheed Sharif Osman Bin Hadi will be revealed. He said that this is a complex and planned murder, behind which multiple people and interests are involved.
He made the remarks while addressing the protesters at the sit-in program of the Inqilab Mancha in Shahbagh, the capital, on Saturday (December 27) night. The commissioner said that 10 people have been arrested so far and an investigation has been intensified to identify the masterminds behind the murder.
The DMP Commissioner said that two pistols used in the murder have been recovered and sent to the CID for scientific examination. The DB police have also recovered the motorcycle used in the incident. He said that evidence of huge money transactions has been found during the investigation and a signed check worth Tk 218 crore has been seized in this regard.
The DMP Commissioner also said that the chargesheet in the case will be submitted by January 7, assuring that the progress of the investigation will be disclosed quickly to ensure justice.
