Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra has passed away. According to leading Indian magazine Filmfare and several other outlets, he breathed his last on Monday afternoon at his residence in Mumbai.
They reported that Bollywood’s iconic “He-Man,” Dharmendra, is no more. The 89-year-old actor died today, Monday (24 November).
His passing marks the end of a glorious six-decade chapter in Indian cinema.
According to multiple Indian media reports, an ambulance was seen entering the actor’s residence. A barricade has been set up about 50 meters from the house, and security has been tightened. His daughter Esha Deol has already been spotted at the location.
Several other celebrities’ cars were also seen entering the premises.
Earlier this month, Dharmendra was hospitalized due to breathing complications. Rumors quickly spread at that time, causing the actor’s family to express anger and frustration. He later recovered and returned home.
Dharmendra was set to celebrate his 90th birthday on 8 December. Preparations for a grand celebration were reportedly underway. His wife Hema Malini had even begun arrangements for the event.
