Leaders of the National Citizens’ Party (NCP) held a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) A. M. M. Nasir Uddin on Thursday (October 9).
According to NCP sources, the meeting was held to discuss the inclusion of the ‘Shapla’ (water lily) in the list of electoral symbols.
At around 3:40 p.m., NCP’s Chief Coordinator Nasir Uddin Patwary, Joint Member Secretary Zahirul Islam Musa, and Joint Convener Khaled Saifullah arrived at the CEC’s office for the meeting.
The NCP delegation formally placed a proposal to allocate ‘Shapla’ as the party’s election symbol, reiterating their long-standing demand for the emblem.
