Police have recovered the bodies of a husband and wife and a maid from a house in the Raynagar residential area of Sylhet city.
The bodies of three people were recovered from house number 111 in Rainagar Mitali area on Wednesday (August 12) morning.
The deceased were the owner of the house, Abdus Sattar Mia (82), his wife (72) and their housekeeper (25).
Police said that members of the Sylhet Metropolitan Police’s Kotwali Model Police Station went to the scene after receiving reports of three bodies lying inside the house. The bodies were later recovered.
However, it was not immediately clear how they died. Police are working at the scene and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of death.
Sylhet Metropolitan Police Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media) Md. Manjurul Alam said that the bodies of three people were found in the same house. Initially, they have been identified as the owner of the house, his wife and a housemaid. Detailed information will be provided later.
