Dhaka, 14 May 2026: Special service activities have been launched nationwide to mark the 53rd founding anniversary of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Office of Bangladesh.
As part of this 7-day program from May 11 to May 19, 2026, CAG Mr. Md. Nurul Islam visited various offices on Thursday.
During the visit, he observed the special service activities taken up for the service recipients in the offices of the Comptroller General of Accounts and 50 Chief Accounts and Finance Officers (CAFOs).
What is included in the service activities:
On the occasion of the Special Service Week, several important services are being provided promptly in audit and accounting offices across the country. Notable among these are:
Immediate assistance in salary determination and pension related issues.
Settlement of General Provident Fund (GPF) and all related matters.
Informing pensioners about life verification and related apps.
Settlement of TA/DA, Commutation Bill and Net Entitlement Case (NE Case).
One-point solution through One-Stop Service Center and Helpdesk.
Emphasis on humane and technology-based services
During the inspection, CAG Mr. Md. Nurul Islam provided necessary guidelines for the speedy settlement of the issue of family pension and reinstated pension as well as the eligibility of disabled children. He said, “The present government is working relentlessly to make the service delivery system more simple, humane, technology-based and accountable with the aim of building a people-friendly administration.”
Service picture at the field level
On the occasion of the 53rd founding anniversary of the CAG office, this special service program is being conducted simultaneously in a total of 495 upazila and cantonment offices including 17 audit departments, CGA, 8 divisional and 64 district offices. During the inspection, service recipients and pensioners expressed satisfaction with the immediate and sincere service received.
During the inspection, the CAG was accompanied by Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (Senior) Mr. Md. Shariful Islam and Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (A&R) Mr. Miyaji Md. Saifullah Sobhan along with senior officials of the concerned office. Finally, the CAG called upon all concerned to provide services to the people with sincerity, humanity and dedication.
