Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Pranay Verma paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. The meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s Office at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday.
Although it has been referred to by government sources as a regular diplomatic courtesy meeting, the significance of the meeting is being discussed in the diplomatic circles. Many see it as a farewell meeting, especially in the context of the possible transfer of the Indian High Commissioner and the new responsibility.
