At least five people have been killed in a fire at a gaslighter factory in Kadamtali area of Keraniganj on the outskirts of the capital. The fire service recovered five bodies from the spot.
The fire service headquarters confirmed this on Saturday (April 4th) afternoon. The identities of the deceased are yet to be identified and are being identified.
The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Fire service sources said the fire broke out at the spot and rushed to the spot and started a firefighting operation. As the intensity of the fire is increasing, seven units work in phases.
Authorities said the fire was brought under control in about an hour.
