The government has extended the period of public holidays for the upcoming Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Sunday.
The notification stated that an additional one-day government holiday has been declared on Wednesday, March 18, in between the previously scheduled holidays. As a result of this holiday granted by the executive order, the continuity of government holidays on the occasion of Eid will be even longer.
Government guidelines state that all government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions in the country, as well as private offices, will be closed on that day.
