The death toll in Iran from the joint military strikes by the US and Israel has risen to at least 787. Thousands more have been injured in the attacks that have been ongoing for the past four days.
The French news agency AFP reported this information on Tuesday, citing statistics from the Iranian Red Crescent Society .
According to the Red Crescent, more than 1,000 attacks have been carried out in 153 cities and more than 500 facilities in Iran since the conflict began on Saturday. However, the number of casualties could not be independently verified, AFP reported.
Meanwhile, multiple explosions were heard in the capital Tehran on Tuesday, AFP correspondents reported. State media reported that explosions were also heard in the western city of Karaj and the central city of Isfahan .
