Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has appointed 10 more people as advisors outside the cabinet. This information was announced in a notification signed by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani on Tuesday, following an order from the President. The order came into effect immediately.
According to the notification, Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, Nazrul Islam Khan, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, Md. Ismail Zabiullah and Dr. Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir have been appointed as advisors with the rank of minister
. And Humayun Kabir, Brigadier General (Retd.) Shamsul Islam, Dr. Zahedur Rahman, Dr. Mahadi Amin and Rehana Asif Asad have been appointed as advisors with the rank of state minister .
The BNP formed the government after an absolute victory in the 13th National Parliament election. On Tuesday, President Mohammad Shahabuddin administered the oath of office to the Prime Minister and 49 ministers and state ministers took the oath on the same day. Earlier in the morning, the Chief Election Commissioner administered the oath of office to the newly elected members of parliament.
