The BNP has announced a two-day program to mark the 90th birth anniversary of its founder and former President Ziaur Rahman. The program includes grave visits, wreath laying, prayer mahfil, blood donation and discussion meetings.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the program at a press conference at the party’s central office in Nayapaltan on Saturday. He said that a tribute and prayer will be held at Ziaur Rahman’s grave in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on January 19, where the party’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman will be present.
The next day, on January 20, BNP will organize a discussion meeting on the life and work of Ziaur Rahman, in which top leaders of the party will participate.
