Four months after the mysterious death of popular Indian singer Zubin Garg, Singapore police have released shocking details from their investigation. They said the cause of his death was alcoholism and serious safety violations while scuba diving.
An investigation report recently filed in a Singapore court said that Zubin Garg was intoxicated when he went scuba diving on September 19. He initially put on a life jacket, but took it off after a while. Later, he refused to put on a life jacket despite requests from instructors before going back into the water. According to the police, this extreme carelessness hastened his death.
The investigation also revealed that Zubin’s blood alcohol level was almost four times the legal limit. While Singapore law allows 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood, his blood alcohol level was found to be 330 milligrams. A 750 milliliter bottle of alcohol was also recovered from his hotel room.
Zubin Garg went missing while scuba diving at the North-East Festival in Singapore last September and was later confirmed dead. While there have been various conspiracy theories surrounding his sudden death, the latest report from Singapore police has put an end to all that speculation.
