The government has transferred 14 senior-level officers of the Bangladesh Police. The transferred officers include officers of the rank of DIG, Additional DIG and Superintendent of Police. The decision was announced in a notification issued by the Police-1 branch of the Home Ministry on Wednesday.
According to the notification, several DIGs and additional DIGs of CID have been posted to various important units including DMP, APBN, SB and Police Telecom Unit. Besides, the superintendents of police working in Tourist Police, Railway Police, Naval Police, SB and various PTCs have also been given new responsibilities.
This government reshuffle is being seen as part of making the administrative activities of the police more dynamic and effective.
