BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will visit Cox’s Bazar on January 18 to visit the grave of July Uprising martyr Wasim Akram. District BNP Publicity Secretary Akhtar Uddin Chowdhury confirmed this information on Monday (January 5) night.
He said that if everything goes normal, Tarique Rahman will visit the grave of martyr Wasim Akram in Pekua, Cox’s Bazar on January 18.
Earlier, Tarique Rahman is going to visit Bogra after a long 19 years on January 11. The next day, on January 12, he will visit the grave of another martyr, Abu Sayeed, in Rangpur.
It is worth noting that Wasim Akram was martyred in a clash between the police and Chhatra League activists in Muradpur area of Chittagong during the anti-discrimination student movement on July 16, 2024. He was a third-year undergraduate student at Chittagong College and a member of the convening committee of Chittagong College Chhatra Dal.
