A special prayer meeting was held at the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram to pray for the eternal peace of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. The prayer was organized after Friday prayers on Friday (January 2), in which a large number of devotees and the general public participated.
Before the prayer meeting, condolences were expressed on the passing of Khaleda Zia. Later, prayers were offered for the forgiveness of her soul and prayers were offered to Allah to grant her paradise.
It is worth noting that the third and final day of state mourning is being observed across the country today following the death of Begum Khaleda Zia. As part of the mourning, the national flag has been flown at half-mast in all government, semi-government, autonomous institutions, educational institutions, government and private buildings in the country and in Bangladesh missions abroad.
