The Intelligence Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police has arrested Ataur Rahman Bikrampuri from Narsingdi. Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Media and Public Relations Department Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed this information on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said he was arrested at the request of the Gazipur Metropolitan Police. Ataur Rahman was handed over to the Gazipur Metropolitan Police after his arrest on Tuesday night as there was a three-month detention order against him.
Authorities say further action is being taken according to legal procedures.
