Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of the Inquilab Manch and one of the faces of the July Movement, will be buried next to the grave of rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. The decision has been taken at the request of the family, the Inquilab Manch said.
In a statement issued on Friday, the organization said that Hadi’s funeral will be held on Manik Mia Avenue in front of the National Parliament Building after Zohr on Saturday. After that, he will be laid to rest next to Nazrul’s tomb at the Azimpur graveyard.
Earlier, the body was taken from the airport to a cold storage facility. It has been informed that although there will be a large gathering around the funeral and burial, the body will not be displayed for the public.
Inquilab Manch has called on its activists and supporters to remain calm and disciplined, so as not to create any opportunity for incitement or violence.
