On the eve of Victory Day, the National Memorial in Savar has been prepared to pay homage to the martyrs. The entire premises are renovated with re-discovery colors and lights. At the same time, the law enforcement agencies have taken four levels of security.
On Monday, the memorial was renovated and the beauty enhancement work was completed. The martyred altars and mass graves have been cleaned, flower tubs and red-green outfits have been installed around.
Anwar Khan Anu, deputy assistant engineer of the public works department, said all preparations for lighting, lake renovation and paying homage have been completed.
In the first hour of Tuesday, the president, chief advisers, members of the advisory council, chiefs of the three services, foreign diplomats, freedom fighters and people from all walks of life will pay homage to the martyrs.
Dhaka Range DIG Rezaul Karim Mallik said more than four thousand police personnel have been deployed from Aminbazar to the National Monument. Four levels of security, including the police, have been tightened.
