The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested three more suspects in the shooting of an independent candidate for the Dhaka-8 seat and an inquilab platform spokesman Sharif Osman Hadi.
RAB’s legal and media wing director Wing Commander MZ M M Intekhab Chowdhury confirmed this to Prothom Alo on Sunday night. He said one person was arrested from the capital and two from Narayanganj in a joint operation.
The RAB claimed that several checkbooks and some electronic devices signed by the main accused in the case, Faisal Karim, have been recovered from the detainees, which is believed to be important in the investigation.
The three detainees were handed over to the police after initial interrogation. Law enforcement agencies say investigations are continuing to identify the culprits and potential associates of the attack.
