Gold prices have risen again in the country’s market. This time, the price has increased by Tk 5,248 per bhori. With the new adjustment, the price of 22-carat gold now stands at Tk 213,791 per bhori.
Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced the revised prices in a notice issued on Thursday night (13 November).
The new rates will be effective from today, Friday (14 November).
According to the notice, the adjustment was made due to an increase in the price of pure (tejaabi) gold in the local market.
New Gold Prices:
22-carat: Tk 213,791 per bhori
21-carat: Tk 204,003 per bhori
18-carat: Tk 174,855 per bhori
Traditional method: Tk 145,520 per bhori
The notice added that a 5% government-imposed VAT and a 6% BAJUS-fixed minimum making charge must be added to the selling price of gold. However, making charges may vary based on design and craftsmanship.
Meanwhile, silver prices remain unchanged.
The prices are as follows:
22-carat silver: Tk 4,246 per bhori
21-carat silver: Tk 4,047 per bhori
18-carat silver: Tk 3,476 per bhori
Traditional method silver: Tk 2,601 per bhori
