A group of miscreants set fire to a Shatabdi Paribahan bus in front of Sony Cinema Hall at Mirpur-1 in the capital on Wednesday (November 12) around 12:30 p.m., confirmed Sub-Inspector (SI) Ripon, the duty officer of Shah Ali Police Station.
According to local residents, several individuals arrived on motorcycles, suddenly set the bus on fire, and fled the scene. The incident created panic in the area, causing people nearby to run for safety.
Police said no casualties were reported in the incident. Law enforcement authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to identify those responsible.
