Light rain is likely in Dhaka and surrounding areas until Saturday afternoon, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
In its six-hour forecast issued at 7 a.m., the department said that light rainfall may occur in parts of the capital until around 1 p.m., with winds blowing from the south and southeast at speeds of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour.
The forecast also mentioned that the sky will remain partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy.
Daytime temperatures are expected to drop slightly, bringing some relief from the recent heat.
At 6 a.m. on Saturday, the temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 27.5 degrees Celsius, with 92 percent humidity in the air.
