State-owned Rupali Bank PLC has officially launched its own mobile banking service under the brand name “Rupalicash”. The service was inaugurated on Thursday (September 25) at the bank’s head office in Dilkusha, Dhaka, by Managing Director Kazi Md. Wahidul Islam in a grand ceremony.
Since 2016, Rupali Bank had been offering financial services—including stipends, allowances, subsidies, and utility bill payments—through SureCash. With the launch of its own brand, Rupalicash, customers will now enjoy faster, safer, and more cost-effective transactions. Notably, Rupali Bank is the first and only state-owned bank to introduce its own Mobile Financial Service (MFS).
Through Rupalicash, customers can open e-KYC-based accounts, deposit and withdraw cash, transfer funds wallet-to-wallet, view balance and transaction statements, receive and disburse salaries, recharge mobiles, and pay merchant bills. Additionally, money can be transferred from Rupali Bank accounts to Rupalicash wallets without any extra charges.
Managing Director Kazi Md. Wahidul Islam said, “After taking charge, my vision was to lead in technology. Thanks to the efforts of our IT team, we have taken a significant step forward toward achieving that goal.”
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials of Rupali Bank, along with representatives from Bangladesh Bank’s Payment Systems Department and other distinguished guests.
