Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of the interim government, held several meetings with top global leaders on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session at the UN Headquarters.
Among those he met were Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, the former President of Chile, and the current Foreign Minister of Uruguay.
The Chief Adviser’s press wing shared the information in a statement on Tuesday (23 September) night.
After attending the opening session of the UNGA, Dr. Yunus exchanged greetings with the Australian Prime Minister. During their brief conversation, they discussed key issues, including reforms undertaken by the interim government, the upcoming general elections in Bangladesh scheduled for February, and the growing Bangladeshi diaspora in Australia.
