BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has inquired about the treatment of Gana Odhikar Parishad President and former DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur.
On Saturday night (August 30), BNP Standing Committee member and Khaleda Zia’s personal physician, Professor AZM Zahid Hossain, visited Dhaka Medical College Hospital to check on Nur’s condition.
BNP Media Cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan said that Khaleda Zia expressed deep concern over the brutal attack on Nur. She condemned the incident and urged that proper treatment be ensured for him.
He further added that Khaleda Zia prayed for Nur’s quick and complete recovery.
It may be mentioned that on Friday evening (August 29), a clash broke out in Kakrail between leaders and activists of Jatiya Party and Gana Odhikar Parishad when a procession of the latter was passing by JP’s office. Later, police baton-charged, injuring Nurul Haque and several others. Nur and six others were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with serious injuries.
