The Election Commission (EC) is set to take a major step towards the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election. After finalizing all preparations, the much-awaited election roadmap will be officially unveiled today (Thursday).
According to EC sources, the roadmap will clearly outline when each preparatory task must be completed. From September, stakeholder meetings will begin, followed by law reforms, finalizing constituency boundaries, registering new political parties and election observers, updating the voter list, confirming polling centers, purchasing election materials, and appointing and training polling officials.
However, the roadmap will not include the election schedule or polling date. The EC has indicated that the schedule will be announced in December, with voting planned for early February.
