Sacrifice of Voluntary blood donors is incomparable as they perform the noble work to humanity by coming out of self centeredness for saving lives.
Senior Secretary Science and Technology Ministry Ziaul Hasan, ndc,said this at a function organised to honor voluntary blood donors in the city on Tuesday.
Quantum Foundation (QF) organised the function to honor its members of lifelong, silver, golden and platium clubs for donating bloods at least three, 10, 25 and 50 times.
QF Director Motivation M Rezaul Hasan also spoke on the occasion with QF Voluntary Blood Donation Programme Chief Coordinator Madam Nahar Al Bukhari in the chair.
Jahangirnagar University student Sanjana Sharmin Esha spoke on behalf of donors and Thalassemia patient Sumi Aktar on behalf of blood recipients.
The Senior Secretary also said the government has been working to take forward all citizen keeping no one behind as per constitutional responsibility adding that Quantum Foundation through its voluntary blood donation, burial like programmes assist the government in this connection.
Some 300 donors received medal, certificates and crests on the occasion.
