Sarika Sabrin, a popular model and actress on the small screen, first tied the knot with businessman Mahim Karim in 2014 after seven long years of friendship and affair. After a year of marriage, Sarika was blessed with a daughter Shehrish Anaya. However, Sarika-Mahim separated in 2016 as the duo did not get along.
After that, Sarika was living a single life and was seen at work very less. After breaking the shackle of single life, Sarika Sabrin decided to get married for the second time in February this year.
Sarika married to businessman GS Badruddin Ahmed (Rahi) in a family presence and completed the marriage ceremony at the end of September. However, after that, Sarika could not bring the broken pieces at once. It’s only been 9 months of her new marriage, but the sound of separation between them is already circulating in the media.
It is reported that Sarika’s husband GS Badruddin Ahmed (Rahi) started “physical and mental torture” to Sariika for dowry! In such an incident, the actress filed a case against her husband. Later, the court issued an arrest warrant against GS Badruddin Ahmed (Rahi) in the case of beating “for dowry for Tk 50 lakh”.
On Monday (November 28), Sarika Sabrin filed the case as a plaintiff in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Farah Diba Chanda. The court accepted the statement of the plaintiff. After taking cognizance of the case, an arrest warrant was issued against Badruddin Ahmed. The court fixed December 21 (Wednesday) as the date for submitting the arrest report.
According to the complaint, Sarika and Badruddin got married on February 2 this year (Wednesday) with a Denmohor of Tk 20 lakh. During the marriage, Sarika’s parents gave Badruddin furniture with gold ornaments worth Tk 25 lakh.
It is also said in the complaint that soon after the marriage, Badruddin demanded Tk 50 lakh from Sarika’s family and beat her up. Then on November 5 (Saturday), Sarika was asked to bring Tk 50 lakh! Could not give the money to him, Badruddin again beat Sarika!
Then on November 19 (Saturday), an arbitration meeting was held at Dhanmondi. In the meeting, Badruddin said that “Sarika has to pay Tk 50 lakh for his business. If they (Sarika’s family) cannot pay, then he won’t live with Sarika.”
Unwilling to pay dowry, Sarika Sabrin filed a case against her husband. It is known that they are on the way to divorce! There is no chance of their relationship being rekindled.
