Six people were killed in a lightning strike in Pabna Sadar upazila. Three others were injured in the incident. The tragic incident took place on Friday (October 29) afternoon at Sonapati Bill in Gobindpur of Upazila.
Chairman of Malanchi Union Parishad Kabir Hossain Babu confirmed the matter.
He said that when the rain started, some people took shelter in a house. The house was made of polythene. At that time, there was a fire in the house. Six people died on the spot.
He added that all the victims were young and young. Three of the injured were rushed to the hospital.
There has been a shadow of mourning in the area.
