The new Executive Committee of the Association of Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officers of Banks in Bangladesh (AACOBB) for the term 2026-2027 was unanimously elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Gulshan, Dhaka in August 2026.
At the said AGM, 15 CamelCos from various banks were elected as members of the new Executive Committee of AACOBB.
Later, in October 2026, the newly elected Executive Committee elected Mahiya Junaid, Additional Managing Director of City Bank PLC and CamelCo, as the Chairperson of AACOBB and Faruk Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director of United Commercial Bank PLC and CamelCo, as the General Secretary.
The committee elected Raees Uddin Ahmed, DMD of Mutual Trust Bank PLC and CamelCo, as the Treasurer. Chowdhury Mainul Islam, DMD and Camelco of BRAC Bank PLC, and Suprabha Sayeed, GM and Camelco of Agrani Bank PLC, were elected as the first vice-president and second vice-president respectively.
In addition, Mahmudun Nabi Chowdhury, DMD and Camelco of Eastern Bank PLC, and Md. Saiful Hasan, Camelco of Citibank N.A., were elected as the first joint secretary and second joint secretary respectively.
The remaining 8 members of the executive committee were elected as Camelco of HSBC, Bank Asia PLC, Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC, Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC, Pubali Bank PLC, Prime Bank PLC, Habib Bank Limited and Community Bank PLC.
