Four more people have died of measles symptoms in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 1,236 new cases of suspected and confirmed measles have been reported.
This information was given in a press release sent from the control room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Sunday (September 20).
The notification said that 1,148 people have been identified with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours. And the total number of people infected with measles symptoms from March 15 to September 20 has reached 1,79,814.
During this period, 88 new confirmed cases of measles were identified. As a result, the number of confirmed measles patients from March 15 to September 20 has increased to 20,562.
According to the Department of Health, 158,589 people were admitted to hospitals with measles symptoms from March 15 to September 20. Of these, 152,255 people recovered and were discharged after treatment.
Four people died of measles symptoms in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths from such symptoms since March 15 to 956. On the other hand, there were no confirmed measles deaths in the last 24 hours. So far, 101 people have died of confirmed measles.
