Seven people died of dengue in 24 hours, 1,753 hospitalized

  • Seven more people have died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, seven thousand 753 people have been admitted to different hospitals in the country with dengue.

    This information was given in a press release on dengue sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday (September 16th).

    According to the notification, among the patients hospitalized in the last 24 hours, there are 186 people in the Barisal division, 177 in Chittagong, 394 in the area outside Dhaka division, 175 in Dhaka North City Corporation and 174 in Dhaka South City Corporation.

    Besides, 349 people were admitted to Khulna division, 183 in Mymensingh, 153 in Rajshahi, 53 in Rangpur and nine in Sylhet division.

    The death toll from dengue has risen to 171 this year with the death of seven new people. At the same time, a total of 56 thousand 916 people were hospitalized with dengue.
