Six more people have died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 1,561 new dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals.
This information was provided in the dengue report of the Directorate General of Health Services on Sunday.
According to the Department of Health, a total of 149 people have died of dengue so far this year. With the new cases, the number of patients hospitalized with dengue has increased to 51,837.
Of the six people who died of dengue in the last 24 hours, two each are in Chittagong and Khulna divisions and one each in Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions.
The number of patients admitted to hospitals is increasing every day as the dengue outbreak continues in the country. This picture of infections and deaths is emerging in the regular reports of the Directorate General of Health Services.
