The three-month ‘Dengue Prevention and Cleanup Campaign-2026’ will start across the country from Saturday as the dengue outbreak is increasing in different parts of the country, including the capital Dhaka.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will formally inaugurate the programme across the country at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at 9am on Saturday.
This information was given in a press release signed by Syed Abdal Ahmed, chief information officer of the Directorate General of Information (DGHS) on Friday.
The prime minister’s inauguration programme has been requested by the authorities concerned to broadcast the inauguration programme on Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar and all private television channels in the country.
