Actress Ajmeri Haque Bandhan has accused a man of being harassed by some people in the Italian city of Mestre.
He alleged that when he was walking with his brother’s family in a local park, he was surrounded by water, soft drinks and eggs and was physically assaulted. His mobile phone was also removed.
The attack targeted him for his involvement in the July-August movement. He alleged that the attackers tried to force him to chant ‘Jai Bangla, Joy Bangabandhu’ and tried to film the video. He later filed a complaint with the local police station.
Prime minister’s information adviser Zahed Ur Rahman said the accused will be brought to justice. Some of the accused have already been identified.
