The ‘Inherity Rights’, a twenty-two songs of legendary rock singer Ayub Bachchu, has been postponed. The decision was taken after intense criticism from the audience and fans about the songs released in the new music composition.
At an emergency meeting of the stakeholders in the capital’s Dhanmondi on Sunday, it was decided to remove the four songs from the online platform and not release the unpublished thirteen songs for the time being.
LRB member Shamim Ahmed said the creation of Ayub Bachchu is an emotion for the devotees. It is not acceptable for his song to be properly presented. The decision on the formation of a panel in consultation with family members and the publication of the songs in the future will be decided based on their opinions.
The wife of Ayub Bachchu, Ferdous Akhter, also confirmed that the project would be suspended for the time being.
Seven songs have already been released in the ‘Nirthakdhi’ project. Among them, ‘Rupali Guitar’, ‘Last night’ of Sonar Bangla Circus, Kaniz Subarna’s ‘Love to suffer’, ‘Kai Shahriar’s ‘Kather’, ‘No one’ in Palash, ‘Hocker’ by Atamanal Moon and Adit Rahman’s ” were ”.
Artists and craftsmen involved in the project said that they sang songs with due respect to Ayub Bachchu and no one from this work was economically benefited. According to them, although criticism of the song is normal, it is not acceptable to think that other artists will not be able to perform the songs of the legend.
The official journey of the project began on August 16th on the birthday of Ayub Bachchu. According to the plan, the money earned from ‘inheritation’ was supposed to be spent on the construction of the Ayub Bachchu Museum.
