Six more people have died of measles in the country in the last twenty-four hours. Five of them are residents of Dhaka division. At the same time, new measles symptoms have appeared in the body of 1 thousand 162 people and surely measles have been identified.
This information was given in the regular report of the health directorate on the situation of measles on Monday (August 31st).
According to the report, 874 people have died of measles symptoms since March 15. Nine more children died of measles at the same time. In all, the death toll from measles and confirmed measles has reached 973.
A total of 312 people have been diagnosed with measles in the country since March 15, including 94 cases in the last 24 hours.
In the last twenty-four hours, more than a thousand measles have been reported. As a result, the number of cases of measles symptoms has increased from March 15 to 57 thousand 991 people.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), over the course of this period, 1 lakh 38 thousand 445 people have been admitted to hospital with symptoms of measles. One lakh people have been discharged from the hospital after treatment.
That is, the number of measles-related deaths is increasing day by day; at the same time, the number of hospitalized and confirmed cases with symptoms is also on the rise.
