Salman Shah’s death in 1969
Filmmaker Chowdhury Mohammad Shahriar Emon alias Salman Shah died at his New Eskaton residence in the capital on September 6, 1969. His father, the late Kamruddin Ahmed Chowdhury, filed a case of death in the incident.
He later filed a case against the boy, claiming that his son was killed on July 24, 1979. The CID investigates the death and murder charges.
On November 3, 1979, the CID submitted its final report to the court, calling it a suicide. The CMM court in Dhaka accepted the report on November 25. However, Salman’s father filed a revision case rejecting the CID’s decision.
