The results of this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations have been published. This time the average pass rate in the examination is 62.25 percent. Last year, this rate was 68.45 percent.
That is, the pass rate has decreased by 6.20 percent in the space of one year.
Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon officially inaugurated the results publication process at the conference room of the Ministry of Education at 10 am on Monday (August 10). The results were published in educational institutions and online at the same time.
This time, a total of 18 lakh 29 thousand 485 students participated in the SSC and equivalent examinations. Of them, about 11 lakh 40 thousand students passed. 1 lakh 16 thousand 676 students got GPA-5. This time, both the pass rate and GPA-5 have decreased compared to last year.
Board wise results
The average pass rate in the general education boards is 68.50 percent. The pass rate in the Madrasa Education Board is 55.49 percent; 6,716 people got GPA-5 in this board. The pass rate in the technical education board is 58.20 percent and 3,951 people got GPA-5.
402 candidates took part in the exam at 9 centers abroad. Of them, 354 passed. The pass rate there was 88.06 percent.
Students ahead in results
In the results, this time too, female students are ahead of male students. 1 lakh 7 thousand 982 more female students have passed than male students in the General Education Board. Female students are also ahead in terms of getting GPA-5; 11 thousand 401 more female students have got GPA-5 than male students.
In group-wise results, the pass rate of students in the science department is also the highest. In the science department, the pass rate of male students is 77.79 percent and that of female students is 80.90 percent. In humanities, 41.14 percent of male students and 54.38 percent of female students passed, and in business education, 59.98 percent of male students and 69.92 percent of female students passed.
The number of institutions with 100% pass rates has decreased, while the number of zero pass rates has increased.
In 2025, there were 19 lakh 4 thousand 86 candidates for SSC and equivalent examinations. This time, the number of candidates has decreased by 74 thousand 601.
On the other hand, the number of examination centers and educational institutions has increased. Last year, there were 3,714 examination centers, this year it has increased to 3,880. The number of educational institutions has increased from 30,088 to 30,402.
However, the number of institutions with 100% pass rates has decreased from 984 to 668. On the other hand, the number of institutions where no students passed has increased from 164 to 312.
