Three more people have died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 458 new patients have been admitted to various hospitals in the country.
According to the latest notification from the Directorate General of Health Services, among the newly admitted patients, 172 are in Dhaka division, 25 in Mymensingh, 78 in Chittagong, 48 in Khulna, 26 in Rajshahi, 10 in Rangpur and 99 in Barisal division.
A total of 13,098 people have been admitted to various hospitals across the country due to dengue since January 1 this year. During this time, 11,937 patients have recovered and returned home after completing treatment.
Currently, 1,118 dengue patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals across the country.
The Directorate General of Health Services has called for increasing public awareness, removing stagnant clean water, and strengthening personal protective measures to prevent the spread of this mosquito-borne disease.
