The outbreak of measles has reached an alarming level across the country. Four more children have died of measles in the last twenty-four hours. At the same time, new measles or symptoms have been detected in eight thousand people, which has made the situation more alarming.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Tuesday (July 21st), a total of 702 children have died of measles symptoms since March 15. Ninety-five more children died of measles in the test. As a result, the total death toll from measles and its symptoms has risen to 797, which has reached close to 800.
Measles have been confirmed in the body of 130 children in the last 24 hours. A further 878 people have been infected with measles. At that time, thousands of new children were admitted to the hospital, and 879 were discharged at the end of treatment.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the number of suspected measles patients in the country has increased to 1 lakh 19 thousand 448 people since March 15. Fourteen thousand measles have been confirmed in the test.
A total of 2 lakh 244 patients were admitted to the hospital during this period. Ninety-eight thousand people have been discharged from the hospital after treatment. However, as the number of cases and deaths continues to rise, public health experts are focusing on strengthening rapid vaccination activities, identifying the disease and expanding medical services.
